Doodlo Privacy Policy

UNPEIL Inc.

1. Privacy

UNPEIL Inc. is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of its users.

This Privacy Policy explains when, why, and how personal information, or information that may be considered personal information, is processed in the Doodlo service provided by UNPEIL Inc. It also explains who may have access to such information, how it is protected, and what rights users or their legal guardians may exercise. This Policy applies equally regardless of the form in which the service is delivered or the device environment in which it is used.

Doodlo is a learning and creative service for children. It recognizes cards and drawings shown through the device camera and uses them to generate a storybook-style scene. Doodlo does not require account registration and does not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, payment information, shipping information, or advertising identifiers.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at john@unpeil.com.

2. What Information Do We Process?

Doodlo processes only the minimum information necessary to provide the service.

Doodlo processes the following information:

Real-time camera video is used on the device for object recognition and card cropping. Full camera video or original photos are not sent to or stored on the company's server.

Card crops are produced from the boundary region of a card detected by the on-device recognition model, and screen areas outside that boundary are not included in the crop. Accordingly, the images sent to the company are limited to the card area placed on the table, and the service provides no feature for capturing or transmitting the user's face or surroundings. Through this restriction on crop scope, the company designs and operates the service so that images transmitted and retained do not contain information by which an individual can be identified.

When the story generation feature is used, the cropped card images and the selected image aspect ratio are sent through the company's backend to an AI generation service. This information is used only to generate the story scene.

The generated story image and card label text are displayed in the service. They are processed through the user's device storage or sharing functions only if the user chooses to save or share the generated result.

Transmitted card crop images and generated story images are retained in the company's storage for the purposes of verifying recognition quality and improving the service. Retained images are not combined with any information that could identify a user, such as an account, name, contact details, or device identifier.

The selected language setting is stored only on the user's device and is not sent to the company's server.

3. How Do We Process Information?

Doodlo analyzes camera input on the device to find card areas and crops only the card images needed for the service experience.

When the story generation conditions are met, cropped card images and the selected image aspect ratio are sent to the company's backend. The backend forwards the request to an AI generation service, receives the generated story image, and returns the result to the service.

In Doodlo, the company does not create or collect user accounts, user profiles, contacts, location information, advertising identifiers, or payment information.

4. How Is Your Information Used?

Doodlo uses the processed information only for the following purposes:

The company does not use user information for advertising, behavioral tracking, targeted marketing, third-party marketing, or user profiling.

5. Who Has Access to Your Information?

The company does not sell or rent users' personal information. The company also does not share user information with third parties for marketing purposes.

However, to provide the story generation feature, cropped card images and generation request information may be temporarily transmitted to the company's backend and to the AI generation service provider. In such cases, only the minimum information necessary for story generation is transmitted.

6. Outsourcing and International Transfer of Personal Information

Doodlo uses an external service to provide AI-based story generation.

7. How Long Do We Keep Information?

Doodlo does not create user accounts and does not store user-identifying information.

Camera input video is used only for real-time recognition on the device and is not stored.

Card crop images transmitted for story generation and the generated story images are retained in the company's storage for the purposes of verifying recognition quality and improving the service, and are destroyed once those purposes have been achieved. Retained images are limited to the card boundary region and are not retained in combination with information that could identify a user.

Generated story images are displayed in the service. If the user chooses to save or share them, they may be stored on the user's device or with the storage or sharing destination selected by the user.

The language setting is stored on the user's device and may be deleted when the user removes the service or clears the device storage data.

8. Your Choices

Users may allow or revoke camera permission at any time in the device settings. If camera permission is not allowed, camera-based card recognition and story generation features may be limited.

Users may choose not to save or share generated images. If the user chooses to save or share a generated image, that action is handled through the storage or sharing functions provided by the user's device.

The language setting can be changed within the service.

9. How to Access or Delete Your Information

Doodlo does not store user accounts or user-identifying information, so ordinary account access or correction procedures are not provided.

If you have any questions about the service or wish to request confirmation or deletion of information processed by the company, please contact us at john@unpeil.com. The company will review the request and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable laws.

Because retained images are not combined with information that could identify a user, locating or deleting a specific user's individual images may be technically limited. In such cases, the company will review the request and take necessary action to the extent possible.
